Stephanie Dignan, founder of The Boot Camp Girl
“I started out by teaching boot camp at a local gym because of my love of fitness. After four months, I left the financial services field and started The Boot Camp Girl, LLC. I and The Boot Camp Girl trainers teach boot camp in several cities: Glenwood (Woodbine area), Maryland; Columbia (Laurel area), Maryland; Clarksville, Maryland (Highland and Dayton area). We also teach several other classes including: running intervals, Kickboxing, Strength and Conditioning and Yoga.
My goal is for the workouts to be fun, yet challenging. The workouts are different each time, so the students never get bored. I don’t just concentrate on exercising during the workout; I devote time in boot camp for students to talk about the exercise and nutritional goals they want to achieve. Clients also are invited to attend cooking demonstrations that help them learn to prepare nutritious food in exciting and unexpected ways.
I have been active in fitness throughout my life. As a child I participated in gymnastics, cheerleading, swimming, and diving. I have completed several half-marathons, the Tough Mudder, a triathlon, the Baltimore and Marine Corps marathons, the JFK 50 mile run and an Across The Years 50 miler and 50K.
I grew up in Western Howard County, Maryland and graduated from Glenelg High School.”
