Stephanie Dignan, founder of The Boot Camp Girl
“I started out by teaching boot camp at a local gym because of my love of fitness. After four months, I left the financial services field and started The Boot Camp Girl, LLC. I and The Boot Camp Girl coaches teach boot camp in Columbia, Maryland. We also teach several other sessions including: running intervals, Kickboxing, Strength and Conditioning, Open Training and Yoga.
My goal is for the workouts to be fun, yet challenging. The workouts are different each time, so the clients never get bored. I don’t just concentrate on exercising during the workout; I devote time in boot camp for clients to talk about the exercise and nutritional goals they want to achieve. Clients also are invited to attend cooking demonstrations that help them learn to prepare nutritious food.
I have been active in fitness throughout my life. As a child I participated in gymnastics, cheerleading, swimming, and diving. I have completed several half-marathons, the Tough Mudder, a triathlon, the Baltimore and Marine Corps marathons, the JFK 50 mile run and an Across The Years 50 miler and 50K.
I grew up in Western Howard County, Maryland and graduated from Glenelg High School.”

I have a huge passion for health and fitness! I quickly fell in love with exercise back in high school when I played softball and decided to start exercising to stay in shape in the off-season. Today I continue to regularly stay active throughout each day. Some of my favorite fitness activities are strength training, hiking and running.
As a coach at The Boot Camp Girl I enjoy teaching fun workouts that will challenge you! I love to encourage, motivate and support students at each workout. One of my biggest strengths in teaching with The Boot Camp Girl is my ability to modify exercises as needed to give people progressions and regressions. The progress that I have seen as people have gotten stronger and become more confident is so inspiring! I love seeing students reach their goals and the positive changes that they are making to lead happier and healthier lives.
I am a certified personal trainer and group exercise instructor through the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA). I have been a coach with The Boot Camp Girl since 2015. I’m currently enrolled in a registered dietitian program with Eastern Michigan University.
