Chocolate Hummus

This is a great dessert hummus, perfect for dipping in fruit!

Chocolate Hummus (from The Conscientious Eater)


  • 1 15 oz. can chickpeas, drained and rinsed (or 1.5 cups cooked from dry)
  • 2 tablespoons cacao powder
  • 5 tablespoons date syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


  1. Place all ingredients into a high-speed blender or food processor and process until smooth.
  2. Taste and add more cacao powder or date syrup to taste.
  3. Serve with fresh fruit!
